MONITORING

MONITORING

Monitoring, in general, is a set of processes and activities that need to take place to characterize and monitor various properties of the natural or constructed environment. Depending on the nature of the analyte and the available technologies for its measurement, monitoring can be continuous (e.g. βγ radiation flux in the environment, pH, conductivity in aquatic systems, CO2 content of air, etc. with electronic registration), semi-continuous (aerosol, fallout-washout, airborne 3H and 14C, etc. sampling for pre-determined periods, followed by laboratory measurements) or periodical (soil, water, plant, animal, etc. sampling according to the monitoring programme, followed by  various laboratory measurements

Design, development, construction and maintenance of monitoring systems is one of the main profiles of Isotoptech Zrt., resulting primarily from decade-long partnership with Paks Nuclear Power Plant and the Hungarian National Radioactive Waste Repository. We have infrastructural capability for and experience in the following areas:

  • Human dose-rate monitoring systems (indoor, outdoor)
  • Environmental media (air, water, soil) monitoring systems
  • Monitoring of nuclear facilities (emission, imission)
